Region 1

Boys

Brennan Draper, junior from Chaparral, ran away with the individual title in 15:53.00. Cherokee Trail claimed the overall team title with 48 points. They'll be joined in Colorado Springs at next week's state meet by Grandview, Chaparral, and Regis Jesuit.

Girls

Senior Mckenna Mazeski took the win in the girls race, running 18:42.00. Emily Cohen, only a freshman, finished second in 18:53.00 and led her team, Cherry Creek, to the overall team title with 37 points. Regis Jesuit, Chaparral, and Cherokee will join them at next week's state meet.

Region 2

Boys

Senior Tyler Downs of Mountain Vista ran away with the individual title, running 15:26.00. He led his team to victory as Mountain Vista took the team title with 54 points. They will be joined at the state meet by ThunderRidge, Heritage, and Denver South.

Girls

Ava Mitchell, senior from Arapahoe, had a dominating win in the girls race, running 17:50.00. Mount Vista claimed another team title, with the girls winning with 35 points. Arapahoe, Heritage, and Chatfield will joining them in Colorado Springs next week.

Region 3

Boys

Senior Evan Kraus of Erie had a dominating win, running 15:50.30 - almost thirty seconds ahead of second place. Denver East secured the overall team title with 44 points. Fairview, Monarch, and Erie will join them at the state meet.

Girls

Senior Emma Stutzman of Pomona secured her fourth regional win, running away with the individual title in 17:44.40 - she will be a favorite at next week's state meet. Boulder secured the team title with 61 points, followed by Fairview, Denver East, and Broomfield in 2-3-4.

Region 4

Boys

Christian Groendyk, senior from Fort Collins, ran away with the individual title in 15:29.00. His win helped secure Fort Collins' overall team victory with 45 points. They will be joined next week by Centaurus, Fossil Ridge, and Horizon.

Girls

Loveland junior Elena Torres took the individual title, running 18:26.00. Fossil Ridge secured the overall team win with 37 points. Joining them at the state meet next week will be Loveland, Fort Collins, and Poudre.

Region 5

Boys

Dane Eike set a hot early pace and never looked back. The Valor Christian junior won the individual title in 15:34. While Valor put three in the top-three, Rock Canyon's pack turned the tables, as they took the team title 41-46 over Valor. Castle View and Air Academy also booked their tickets to State.

Girls

Bethany Michalak and Brooke Wilson waged an epic battle that saw the two in wild kick finish. Michalak took the victory in 17:07 just one-second ahead of Wilson. Mirroring the individual race, Air Academy took the team title 35-45 over Valor. Castle View and Legend also qualified for State.

Editor's Note: Michalak was just two-seconds shy of Katie Rainsberger's course record of 17:05.
