Boys Performer of the Week (March 3-8)

Here are the best performances over the weekend. Make sure to put in your vote at the bottom! Voting ends at Midnight on Friday!

Cole Mazurana, Niwot High School

In a very competitive race, Niwot's Cole Mazurana came out victorious in the 1600m at the CSU-Pueblo Early Bird 2025 meet, finishing ahead of a very competitive field. He led from the gun and held off the pack for a Colorado-leading time of 4:18.

Peyton Sommers, Cherokee Trail High School

Dominating the sprinting scene last year was Peyton Sommers, and he opened up his season in the 400m at the Aurora City Championships. His time of 48.30 may not have been a PR, but to open up his season with this fast of time shows he is already prepared for some fast marks at more competitive meets.

Taylor Waters, Cherokee Trail High School

Riding a whole lot of momentum going into the new outdoor season is Taylor Waters, who had a great indoor campaign. He soared over bars at 16-0 and 16-4.5 throughout the winter, but to continue that trend into the first outdoor season shows his indoor marks were not a fluke. Walters got over 16-0 at the Aurora City Championships, tied for the top mark in Colorado currently.

Francis Ojowa, Prairie View High School

As the top returner in the 300m hurdles, Francis Ojowa definitely had a target on his back going into this first meet of the season at the Ivory Moore "We are Columbine" Invite. Not only did he rise to the occasion, but he easily won the meet in a new personal best time of 37.90. To open up the season with a PR is always a good sign and when it is a PR on a mark that is already incredibly fast, the sky's the limit for Ojawa.

Quinn Pascual, Discovery Canyon High School

With such an incredible mark in the pole vault, it is hard to believe that there is another person who hit 16-0 as well, but Quinn Pascual pulled it off at the CSU-Pueblo Early Bird 2025 meet. On top of setting a new personal best, Pascual also set a meet record by over two feet.
