For this first edition of Colorado Future Stars of the 2025 track and field season, we will highlight multiple performances over the past week from the sophomore class.
Bruce Hobbs, Pueblo West: Racing to a time of 49.48 in the 400m at CSU-Pueblo, winning the event. His times is currently #2 in Colorado.
Caleb Emery, Rocky Mountain High School: Running a time of 1:58.50 in the 800m, Emery finished tied for 4th overall, behind the very talented Fagerlin brothers at the Max Marr Invitational. His time puts him tied for #4 in all of Colorado as well.
Levi Smela, Thompson Valley High School: Sticking with the 800m, Smela tied Emery at the Max Marr Invitational, running 1:58.50 and tying for 4th and the other name tied for #4 in Colorado.
Antheny Herre, Thompson Valley High School: At the Max Marr Invitational, Herre ran a time of 9:43 in the 3200m, placing 2nd overall. His time puts him #3 overall in Colorado and puts him in a good spot this early on in the season.
Jackson Edwards, The Classical Academy: Another competitive mark coming from the CSU-Pueblo Early Bird meet came from the discus ring. Edwards threw 150-4, earning a MileSplit National Second Team mark and winning the event.
