Colorado Boys Performer of the Week (April 14-19)

Eaglecrest High School's 4x100m relay team was the winner of last week's performer of the week! Here are the nominations for this week. Make sure to get your votes in by Friday, April 25th at Midnight.

Teagan Malcom, Longmont High SchoolThough the weather was a little unpredictable on Saturday, it did not stop Malcom from running a huge time in the 300m hurdles. His time of 37.21 not only leads all of Colorado, but he also beat Francis Ojowa, who has been undefeated this season in this event.

Cadel Ruthven, Fort Collins High SchoolIn the 1600m, Ruthven ran to a new season best time of 4:14, just beating out Curtis Smela of Thompson Valley for the meet win. Considering this time was run at altitude versus some of the other results on the leaderboard, it puts Ruthven in a great spot for this part of the season.

Logan Nuce, Riverdale Ridge High SchoolThe rankings for shot put have been fairly steady throughout this season, but after this weekend, Colorado has a new leading mark from Nuce. His throw of 55-3.75 just put him ahead of Shinofield in the rankings and is a three foot PR for Nuce from the first meet of the season.

Cameron BellEaglecrest High SchoolRunning at the Norsemen Invitational, Bell took home the victory in the 110m hurdles in a time of 14.28. This time is not only a huge personal best for him, but it is also the 3rd fastest time this season in Colorado. This could have major implications for Eaglecrest's team scoring potential at the state meet.
