Congratulations to Reese Douglas of Lewis-Palmer High School for winning last week's performer of the week! Douglas won both the shot put and discus at the Mickey Dunn Invitational with two strong marks of 38-7 and 126-7. This past weekend she also threw two new personal bests of 39-11 and 141-8! Make sure to get your votes in by Thursday, April 9th at 11:59pm MT for this week's nominations!
Renata Bergstrom, Cherry Creek High School: Bergstrom is the first female in Colorado over 13-0 in the pole vault for the 2026 outdoor season! She is currently #1 in the state of Colorado with that mark, and she won the event at the Valor Invitational. Though not an overall personal best, it is a new outdoor PR and we should be seeing her continue to improve throughout this season based on her PR of 13-4.5 from indoor!
Windsor High School's 4x100m Relay: Windsor High School put together as strong relay effort to win at the Altitude Invite. They ran a time of 46.90 to take the new #1 spot in the state of Colorado! This time is also a new school record by almost a half a second!
Jetta Betts, ThunderRidge High School: Betts ran one of the fastest 800m for this weekend, running 2:13 to win the event at the Altitude Invite. She is currently ranked #5 overall in the state of Colorado and she is ranked #1 for all Juniors in the state.
Mackinzy Wall, Manitou Springs High School: Wall was the top returner in the discus for the state, and this past weekend she threw a huge mark of 144-3 to win at the John Tate Steel City Fast Track Invitational! Her mark is a new personal best by almost two feet and puts her at #1 in the whole state!
Niwot High School's Distance Medley Relay: Just like the boys, Niwot High School ran a national-leading time in the distance medley relay with a team comprised of Elise Hagen, Sammie Holliday, Anna Prok, and Addison Ritzenhein closing out the anchor leg. They ran a time of 11:33, which would have ranked well at the end of last season, and we are still early in the season!
