Finn Higgins, Grandview High School: Higgins is the top freshman in Colorado for the high jump, hitting a mark of 6-5! He is also ranked well in the whole state of Colorado, tied for #11! Higgins has also been very consistent throughout the season, hitting 6-0 or higher in his competitions, which is a huge positive when it comes to high jump. Finally, he is tied for #11 in the whole nation for 9th graders, proving that he is one of the top underclassmen in the event.
Zazi Wolfrum, Bear Creek High School: Wolfrum hit a huge mark in the triple jump, getting out to 46-2.5! He is ranked at #33 for sophomores in the whole nation, and his mark is one of the best in the state of Colorado, where he is ranked at #4! On top of his strong PR in triple jump, he has also high jumped 6-4 and has a personal best jump of 21-9 in the long jump, which places him at #3 in high jump and #4 in long jump for sophomores in Colorado.
McKenna Garcia, Strasburg High School: Garcia has slowly improved throughout this season in the long jump, starting at 15-1.5 and recently jumping an impressive mark of 18-3! She also recently jumped 17-5 and 17-2.25, showing a lot of consistency in the event. With her 18 foot mark, she is ranked in the top 10 in all of Colorado and #2 in Class 3A! On top of her improvements in long jump, Garcia also has a personal best mark of 34-8 in the triple jump, which is the top mark for all freshmen in that event as well.
Sky St. Louis, Chaparral High School: St. Louis has run the fastest 800m for sophomores, running a time of 2:14! Though she is a few seconds off of her personal best of 2:09 she set last year, she has been making big improvements this season and proving why she is one of the best in the middle distance events not just for underclassmen but for the whole state. She has also run 5:18 for the 1600m which ranks her in the top 20 for 10th graders in Colorado. Finally, she has run 59.33 in the 400m, ranking her #10 for the grade.
