Here are the nominations for this week's performer of the week from the state meet! Make sure to get your votes in by Thursday, May 21st at 11:59pm MT!
Roxy Unruh, Cheyenne Wells High School: Unruh has had a historic career, finishing her time in high school with 10 total individual state titles! She added two more individual state titles to her name after winning the Class 1A 100m and the 200m, while also finishing 2nd overall in the 400m!
Addison Ritzenhein, Niwot High School: Ritzenhein also had a historic career, winning a total of seven individual state titles! She added two more to her name, winning the 1600m and the 3200m, and she finished 3rd overall in the 800m, running a new personal best time of 2:10! On top of that, she broke the Class 4A state meet record in the 1600m, running 4:44.
Austin Cook, Telluride High School: Cook won the Class 2A titles in both the 800m and the 1600m, defending her 800m title from last season! She just missed the 800m Class 2A state meet record by .02, running 2:11! She also ran 5:05 in the 1600m for the victory.
Mackinzy Wall, Manitou Springs High School: Wall threw a huge personal best in the discus, winning the Class 3A title and earning the state meet record with a throw of 147-9! She also placed 5th overall in the shot put with a throw of 35-1.
Zenobia Witt, Eaglecrest High School: Witt defended her long jump title, making it her third Class 5A title in the event with a mark of 19-3.25! She also placed 2nd overall in the 100m hurdles with a wind-aided time of 13.64 and placed 6th in the 300m hurdles running 44.68. On top of all that, she placed well in all of these events off of very few competitions this spring season!
