Cruz Culpepper (center) returns as one of the top juniors this year.

The boy's junior class may be the strongest - up front - compared to any other class in the state. With runners like Cole SproutCruz CulpepperConnor OhlsonDylan Schubert, and Mason Norman, we're sure to see some fireworks in the fall.

Absent from varsity competition will be Easton Allred, who is transferring to Mountain Vista and being forced to sit out the season, though it's likely we'll see him in post-season regional and national meets.

Sprout returns as ta solid front-runner, figuratively and literally. He's got the fastest returning time at 14:48, and, given Allred's absence, he's the only sub 15 runner on the list. Additionally, Sprout has a massive spring. He set the Colorado 3,200 record, and ran one of fastest 1,600 in the state. What's he got in his back pocket for the fall?

Behind Sprout, Ohlson has got the *second fastest time (not including Alldred) at 15:17. But I'd keep an eye on Culpepper, who had a breakout spring of his own.

The top five returners have run 15:33 or faster, led by Sprout's blistering 14:48, and eight have broken 16.
