On paper Centaurus is the No. 1 team in the state heading into the 2018 season.

Toss out the classifications - for now. Who are the top 50 teams in Colorado? I've mashed everyone together in one giant hypothetical state meet. The list is designed by taking each runner's personal best, so keep in mind the times you'll see on the next page were run on various courses throughout the season.

With this many numbers being thrown around you'd imagine we'd have a clear favorite, but oddly enough that's not the case.

On paper, this one is close, sort of. Centaurus leads the way in this massive state mash-up, despite not having one runner make the top-10. They've got a 1-5 split of 38 seconds, and a 16:00 average. Their pack is what elevated them here.

Hot on their heels is Durango, who have got a 16:01 average, and a 1-5 split of 54 seconds.

And then things get really close. 5A powerhouses Dakota Ridge and Mountain Vista pop up on this list No. 3 and No. 5, with Niwot sandwiched between the two.

Dakota Ridge's front runner prowess is on display here, as - based on PRs - they've got two inside the top-five overall. Additionally, they've got the fastest average time of 15:57. Likewise, Niwot's power-three make them dangerous in this hypothetical mass-state meet, as they are the only team to have three runners in the top 15 overall. And they are the only other team with an average under 16 minutes at 15:59.

Where does everyone else stand? Head to the next page to find out...

Next Page: The List

Editor's Note: I will do this for each classification, but we'll start with an all-classifications Top 50.

Additional: Easton Allred is listed under Rock Canyon. He won't be competing this fall as he is ineligible due to transfer to Mountain Vista. Redoing the math, that moves Rock Canyon from 10th to 18th.
