Who was Colorado's top distance runner during the 2019 outdoor track season?
Taylor Whitfield takes the crown on this list as the best 1,600 + 3,200 runner.
The Valor Christian sophomore ran 10:35 in the 3,200 and 4:56 in the 1,600 this spring for a combined total of 15:32.77, which is just four seconds ahead of Madeleine Burns, who comes in No. 2 on this list.
Burns, like Whitfield, had a stellar outdoor season which saw her run big personal bests of 10:36 in the 3,200, and 5:00 in the 1,600. Her 15:37 combined time was the only other time under 15:40.
In total, eight girls tallied a combined total under 16 minutes, with Joslin Blair a clear No. 3 on this list.
The Eagle Valley junior's 10:45 in the 3,200 and 4:56 in the 1,600 combined for a 15:42 total.
