
Chaparral's Jackson Parrill was Colorado's fastest freshman at NXR-Southwest!
The "regular" season may be behind us, but that didn't stop nearly 100 Colorado freshmen from heading south to greener pastures and lower elevations.
Colorado's next crop of distance stars hinted at what we'll see in coming years, as most of them made some serious gains at Nike Cross Regional - Southwest.
Leading the way...
Chaparral's Jackson Parrill inched closer to joining the coveted Sub-16 Club with a 16:09 clocking. The time was a new personal best by eight seconds, and it was the fastest by a Colorado runner at the meet.
And keep an eye on Carlos Kipkorir Cheruiyot...
The Niwot freshman dropped a big personal best, going from 16:55 at the Stargate Eagle XC Invite to 16:16 Saturday.
And he wasn't the only freshman to run a big PR....
Frontier Academy's Abuzaid Fanning dropped nearly a minute, going from 17:13 to 16:18...
