More of my favorite images from Jeff's vantage point:
Remember how tightly bunched the field was in the 5A girls 3200?
I suppose it was bound to happen at some point, the two 2A teams with the most audacious uniforms in adjacent lanes of a relay.
Not only did Cody Billings win it, he came from behind to do it.
Alexa Chacon rips through the 3A 100 hurdles field.
An exchange that went badly.
After charging furiously up the finish straight in an effort to regain first, Alaina Anderson greets the track.
The hair was the only part of Carly Paul that didn't know where it was going on Saturday morning.
Admit it, Chyna's hair reminds you just a little of Bob Marley.
How badly do you think Griffin wanted it?
Making sure they measure it right.
You don't get good photos of Tony Carodine while in coach mode. Jeff McCoy doesn't suffer from the same distractions at a track meet that I do.
There's just a hint of a head check here to see how close everyone else was.
Who is that guy with the camera, anyway?
There's almost always an extra measure of intensity on a relay start.
Both eyes on the bar.
The 4A boys 800 finish was about as close as they get.
