Coaches and Meet Directors, Each year at this time, we get a few meets where the seed parameters aren't set to what the coaches or meet directors were expecting. Here's how to make changes if things are misbehaving. Make sure you're logged in, go to the meet page, and select Meet Manager. The seed behavior settings are under the Divisions tab. Click there, then click on the division (most of you have only one division, but in theory there could be options to choose from here). This will bring up the page that has seed behavior. For track meets you almost certainly want Verified Only or Required, Coach can Modify. With Verified Only, the coach can't modify seed marks (used a lot with selective meets, somewhat problematic for relays). Next, and generally speaking, in Colorado, you'll accept seeds from any meets. Next, you must choose between selecting athlete PRs (most common), marks from only the current season (not a good idea to use that until deep into the season), or only marks from the previous season (mostly used first week of season only). Next you have an option to allow seed marks only from outdoor or from outdoor and indoor both. In the latter case, it will include seed times from the same events in indoor meets. You decide. Finally, you have the wind and FAT settings. For most Colorado meets, unless you have teams coming from out-of-state where wind readings aren't used, you would select Wind Legal and FAT Only, but you can press the dropdown menus and see if there's an option you'd like better--it's your meet! Hope that helps!
