Meet Information
Your team is invited to the 12th Annual DEvelyn Dash 5K to be held on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 8:00 am at DEvelyn Jr./Sr. High School. Last year we had another great race with over 30 high schools attending! The course is extremely spectator and coach friendly as well as challenging. You can easily see 75% of the entire race from just a few locations. We plan in implementing waves this year to alleviate the crowding at the starting line.
While there is a race later that is open to the entire public, Cross Country athletes and teams will run in a separate division from the competitive racers. There will be NO ENTRY FEE as the high school portion of the race classifies as a CHSAA Cross Country scrimmage. We will also continue to have the Jr. High/Middle School race! We are also considering a Coaches Challenge. We will be in touch about the details of this exciting addition!
High School programs do not need to register for the scrimmage. All that is necessary is to email your interest. Additional information and a map of the course will be sent out this summer to all teams who have emailed an entry response.
For parents, siblings and citizens, the public portion of the race is always great fun. It begins after the Cross Country scrimmage and includes the same course (with a short 2K option) and all registered individuals will get a race t-shirt.
