Meet Information

Dear Athletic Directors / Coaches:
We would like to invite you to the 14th Annual Warrior Cross Country Invitational at Matchett Park in Grand Junction on Saturday, October 1st, 2016. We will be competing at the Matchett Park course location again this year in the spirit of providing athletes a true Cross Country environment that should be a fun and exciting experience for all. We have changed our date to accommodate schedule changes and in hope of attracting more teams to our meet.
Course: The course will be run on the Trails at Matchett Park which will consist of 100% dirt trail conditions.

Schedule of Events: To be determined. Planned start for first race is not later than 9:00am.

Scoring/Awards: Varsity Boys and Girls races will be limited to a maximum of 8 runners per team with top 5 scoring and top 7 displacing for scoring purposes. Boys and Girls JV races will be allowed unlimited entries with top 5 scoring and top 7 displacing for scoring purposes. Awards will be given to 1st place teams and top 10 varsity runners. The Coaches & Open Race is free to all team coaches and is open to all others at a cost of $10 per runner.

Fees: $150 per school (covers both Boys & Girls Varsity and JV Races with unlimited entries) / $10 per athlete for smaller schools. We do plan on limiting this to a maximum of 15 teams so please confirm your plans to attend ASAP. IF we have more than 15 teams we will consider running seeded races to accommodate.
