Heritage Distance Classic

Heritage High School is excited to announce the inaugural running of the Heritage Distance Classic on Saturday, September 12th, 2020. The HDC 2020 will be run on the world famous Liberty Bell Course.

Teams: Arapahoe, Broomfield, Chaparral, Heritage, Mountain Vista, Pomona, Regis Jesuit, Valor Christian

Individuals: Sydney Thorvaldson (Rawlins HS), Jack Lee (Skyview Academy)

Entry Fee: $250 per team. The entry fee will go towards paying for our permits, police, timing company, meet officials, and complimentary race t-shirts for athletes.

Entries: Each team will have 6 entries per gender. The race will be professionally timed by Colorado Race Timing and results will be posted on MileSplit.

JV/Open Meet: Heritage High School will be hosting a JV meet on Friday, September 11th on a 5k course that goes around our campus. 7 entries per team as 7 teams will be bringing JV kids. For open kids, I would recommend pairing up with another school in a dual meet to maximize participation. For example, HHS will be racing Vista on the Vista home course, 25 kids per team. Coaches, if you are looking for another team to race at the open level, let me know and I can help facilitate.

Format: Each team will get 3 entries into each wave. You will designate this on MileSplit when you register.

Time Schedule:

Girls Wave A (faster wave): 8:30 AM

Girls Wave B (slower wave): 8:33 AM

Boys Wave A (faster wave): 9:00 AM

Boys Wave B(slower wave): 9:03 AM
