Summit Middle School XC Invite 2020

Frisco, CO

Meet Information

Registration is closed as we have reached our capacity under current COVID limitations.

Email me at michaelhagen@me.com if you would like to get on the wait list. If teams drop out making room, I'll go first-come, first-served on the wait list.

This will be a low-frills race. Timing will be simple popsicle-stick style. We will record times and pass out popsicle sticks with a finishing number to each runner. Coaches will collect the numbers and record them on their team score sheet, add up the team score, and return to me. (Tip: Write your runner's names on your team score sheets in advance and bring them to the meet. That will make recording your placings faster. Your runners names do not need to be in placing order on the sheet.)  I'll email out the full results by the afternoon and submit them to MileSplit.

The 3200-meter course runs through the nordic XC trails, tubing hill and bike park at the Frisco Peninsula Adventure Park. Parking is nearby and plentiful. The course is challenging and very spectator and coach friendly. There are two climbs: the first is short and steep at the halfway point. The second is in the last half mile - a big switchbacking climb and fast descent to the finish line. The climb is fully visible from the finish, making for great spectating and cheering. The start and finish are on grass. There is one road crossing, otherwise the course is 100% on dirt, wood chips or grass.
