Meet Information
Registration:
This meet is open to Ignacio, Dolores, Mancos, Pagosa, Cortez, and Bayfield Middle Schools. Each school may register 8 girls and 8 boys.
Course:
The course is 3K long and will start just south of the Ignacio High School football field. The course loops twice around the baseball fields and will finish on the IHS track. The course will be open from 3-4:15pm for course preview. Spectators may park at IHS, busses should use the IHS overflow parking lot.
Race:
Girls will run at 4:30pm and boys will follow. Runners will start in waves of four. Teams should run their four fastest athletes in the first wave and all others in wave 2. Waves will be staggered by 2 minutes. Awards will be given to the top 3 individual runners and to the top team in each race.
COVID-19:
Runners must wear their masks to the starting line. They make take them off once they start. Runners must keep their mask with them during the race and put it back on once they finish. Spectators and coaches must wear masks at all times. Teams should plan to bring their own water.
