About Me
After moving from Mission Viejo, CA I started at Smoky Hill in 2002. We won 5A State titles in 2003, 2004, and 2005. Additionally, Smoky Hill set the State Scoring Record with 126 points at the State Meet in 2004! Smoky Hill has not finished below 3rd place at State 11 consecutive years (1999-2009), save 2008 (10th). We set new school records in boys shot and discus at 55'7 and 172'5 by Joe Douglas in 2004. Mark Sparks had an awesome year in '09. He became the 5th best discus thrower in the history of Colorado with a throw of 192'8. He also bettered the school record to 59'0.25". 2011 will start off my term at Dakota Ridge HS in Littleton. Austin Roup had a brilliant year finishing 3rd at State! During one year at Neosho County CC I coached 4 All-Americans in the weight, hammer, and javelin. Also, I spent time at McNeese and Louisiana Tech with new school records and an All-American in the W WT.
