If you're looking for an early jump on high school indoor action, that jump is yours to be had at the Air Force Holiday Open on Friday. Joining the collegiate and open competitors from Air Force, Western State, Metro State, Mines, Colorado, and CSU-Pueblo will be a fairly lengthy list of top-tier high school athletes.
Among the names you might recognize on the men's start lists are Kossi Tchenawou, Connor Weaver, Berek Vahey, Trevor Cook, Jai'Shawn Thompson, Zach Petrie, Luke Yeager, Dylan Day, Colt Sessions, and Connor Turnage, and probably a few more if you're keeping a very close ear to the ground.
It's just as long of a list of high school entries on the women's start lists. You might recognize names like Alexei Cox, Alexis and Alexandria Groce, Victoria Coombe, Aubree Lorenzen, Tabor Scholl, Darby Spence, Bailie Jones, Jordan McClendon, Stephanie Bess, and Haley Showalter.
Joining the current high schoolers will be several very familiar recent graduates who have moved on to the college ranks.
All the action gets underway at the Cadet Field House starting at 2 PM.
