You know 4A is going to be competitive every year. It's Colorado's largest classification and, even with Broomfield and Coronado moving on to 5A, is deep in talented teams. There are teams that didn't even make the preseason top ten that could realistically be in the hunt this fall. Nobody gets an easy pass to the top.
Palmer Ridge is the overwhelming favorite on the boys side, but homestanding Cheyenne Mountain gets some serious recognition as well. As expected, the top three positions on the girls side go to three Northern Conference teams--Thompson Valley, Mountain View, and Niwot. The good news for them is that they're not all in the same region.
