Montrose Boys Upend Battle Mountain in Team Race
Montrose must have taken exception to the meet preview. Still rough on the edges at the #5 spot, placing 1,2,5 and 16 with their top four ended up being just too much for Battle Mountain to overcome on this day. The Husky boys though can put a feather in their cap as they did manage to hold a slim three-point margin over Durango who placed third in the standings with 101 points.
In the weeks to come these three Western Slope 4A teams undoubtedly will be working to strengthen their weaknesses with a place on the state podium at stake.
