At one point, there were four Colorado athletes registered to compete in the USA Junior National Championships this past weekend in Sacramento.
When the dust had all settled and various health issues taken their toll, only one was still standing to compete this weekend. But, she made a pretty good show of it.
Arria Minor clipped off a 52.56 in prelims to advance to finals, then scorched a 52.05 in finals for third place to improve on her fastest-ever time for a Colorado high school girl.
Minor DNSd the 200 prelims between the 400 prelims and 400 finals. Evidently, one event was enough to think about at this level.
