When Del Norte teammate Zev Fiedelberg started to make a strong move, Jaron Farnham wasn't sure what to do. Move too soon and Mt. Carmel's Sam Boone might take advantage. Wait too long and Fiedelberg might never be caught. Farnham and Boone chased down Fiedelberg and Farnham (pictured) was stronger over the final half-mile to win in 15:12.3, the second fastest time of the day. "That was much harder than I expected," said Farnham. Mt. Carmel won the team race with 66 points.
