Austin Davis will look to dominate the hurdles this season for Byers.

League Teams: Burlington, Limon, Byers, FlaglerGenoa-HugoStratton/LibertyDeer Trail, Liberty (Joes)

Last Year's League Results:
This league is split across 1A and 2A. Last year 2A Burlington made no contest of the league meet, dominating the competition by 46 points. Burlington tallied 216 points to beat Limon, who scored 170. Byers was third with 99.

Key Athletes Lost to Graduation:
Burlington: Justis Marshall, Sean Patel, Damian Brisendine
Limon: Chase Clements, Kaden Larson
Byers: Gage Dean
Flagler: Cameron Klann
Deer Trail: Derek Klassen
Key Returning Athletes
Burlington: Jonah Hanson

The Outlook:
Burlington returns as the clear favorite to claim the Union Pacific league once again. Despite graduating quite a few stars from last year's squad, they return the depth needed to maintain their hold over the  league. On paper Limon looks clear to claim the runner-up spot, while Byers will battle for third.
The sprints appear to be a two-way battle between Genoa-Hugo's Caid Smith and Limon's Hauk Hubbard. While Smith looks to be strongest in the 100-200, Hubbard is in the 200-400, so the 200 should be a hotly contested race.
Austin Davis will toe the line for the hurdles as the clear favorite. There doesn't appear to be a challenger in sight. Meanwhile, the distance vents look to be a battle between Burlington's Johan Hanson, and James Linnebur of Byers. Likewise, Limon's Celby Hollenbaugh, and Davis should make a great matchup in the high jump, while Genoa-Hugo's Nicholas Knutson and Wyatt Smith of Byers will battle it out in the long jump.
