Let's run over a very interesting stat here: Marlena Preigh has lost only one race over the 800 this outdoor season, and that was the 1,600 at state where she finished third.
But state was a revealing time for Preigh, who won the 800 in a then PR of 2:09. Since then she's dropped that to 2:07. Her current PR of 4:52 in the 1,600 is likely to go down, a lot. She's in stacked field that includes 4:42 miler Maddy Denner.
