Colorado Coaches Poll: October 15

We're officially into Championship Season, meaning we've seen nearly everyone's cards!

We've got the latest Coaches Poll on tap as we enter the final weeks of the 2022 Colorado cross country season.

The Colorado Coaches Poll consists of a dozen coaches across the state.

BOYS | GIRLS

Quick Takes: The Valor Christian boys stormed to the No. 1 spot following their victory at the Desert Twilight XC Festival. The top three boy's squads seem to have separated themselves from everyone else, as Valor, Mountain Vista, and Cherokee Trail look to be in a three-way battle for that state title.

Cherry Creek remained the team to beat in the girl's poll - but Arapahoe and Air Academy made gains. Air Academy made a big leap, landing at the No. 3 spot. New to the poll was Broomfield and Fairview, who landed at the No. 7 and No. 8 spots.

BOYS | GIRLS

Quick Takes: The status quo remained. Niwot unanimously maintained their hold over both polls with big victories at the Longs Peak League Meet

Diving in a little more, Coronado and Battle Mountain took a step upwards in the boy's rankings, while Summit and Pueblo West made their debut in the poll.

Durango and Cheyenne Mountain slid upwards in girl's rankings, and new to this week's poll was Central (GJ), and Silver Creek.

BOYS | GIRLS

Quick Takes: There was very little movement on the top of the boy's rankings - just a flip between Frontier Academy and Prospect Ridge. The big story in this set of rankings is Salida, who leapt in from outside the rankings to the No. 6 spot.

The girl's side of the rankings saw even less movement, save for Jefferson Academy entering the rankings at No. 10.

BOYS | GIRLS

Quick Takes: The St. Mary's boys surged to the top of the poll this week following their performance at the 2022 Tri Peaks/Black Forest Cross Country Championships. And hot on their heels was Colorado Springs Christian. Likewise Peyton made a leap-frog to the No. 5 spot.

On the girl's side the story was Banning Lewis, who leaped two spots, landing at No. 3. New to this set of rankings was North Fork, who entered the poll at No. 8.
