For many years, the Centaurus Invitational was the "other" Boulder County meet on the weekend of the St. Vrain Invitational.
But, now, both meets have their own weekend, and both meets are thriving. And the stature of the Centaurus Invitational is steadily rising within the echelons of Colorado cross country meets. Centaurus now finds itself on the same weekend as the Arapahoe Warrior, but, no matter, this meet is more than able to hold its own.
How able to hold its own, you ask? Able enough to fill its capacity of 30 teams. And, Centaurus didn't just fill its capacity. The meet is loaded with solid teams, like Arvada West, Monarch, Broomfield, Elizabeth, Standley Lake, The Classical Academy, and--of course--the host team.
Figure on some high-octane cross country action on Saturday morning.
We're still on the tail end of the mystery stage of the season where we might see...
