Meet Format:  Schools may have 4 individual entries in track events, 3 in field events, and 1 relay. (If you have an exceptional 5th athlete in any event, email Brandon Havard and we will do our best to accommodate that person.) Tentative minimums for entry (and measurement) are on the time schedule, and we will have 3 attempts with the top 9 going to finals in the throws and horizontal jumps.Minimums will be strictly enforced to help the meet move on time. The meet qualifies for state ranking and will be a mixture of 2A, 3A, 4A, and 5A teams. All submissions must be verifiable on MileSplit and MaxPreps. We will seed all competitors and relays and run finals against time.

The milesplit password will be sent when your contract is signed.

Entry/Fee Information:

The cost for this years meet will be $350 per school (includes boys and girls teams).If you only plan on bringing a boys or a girls team, the price is $175.  Please make checks payable to Loveland High School Athletics and send to the attention of Coco Grassens, Bookkeeper . We will be using Colorado Mile Split to collect entries. You will have until 6 PM on the evening of Thursday, March 26th to complete your entries. Scratches only on Friday, there will be no substitutions the day of the meet.                          

Cost for Spectators: We will charge at the gate - $8 for Adults  $5 for Students/Seniors

Awards:   There will be medals for top 3 in each event and a championship belt for the top boys and girls teams .

Time Schedule: The schedule will be adjusted based on entries, but we will run ahead if possible. Tentative Schedule

Minimum Distances for Entry/Measurement and Progressions for Field Events: 

We currently do not plan to have minimum entry requirements. However we reserve the right to make adjustments if the size of the meet increases. This is a varsity-level meet, so coaches should make sure to enter athletes that reflect that expectation. 

Implement Weigh-In and Weight Check:Outside the track shed behind the home bleachers. We would like all implements to be weighed at the beginning of the meet.

Javelin: Coach Davis for Skyline will host javelin at our meet again this year for those interested. We will start the javelin competition 1 hour before everything else.  Javelins and a quick tutorial will be provided.  Please contact Coach James Davis for more information coachjamesdavis@gmail.com

Throwers Mixed 4x100m Relay: We will run a throwers relay at the end of the meet before the 4x400 relays.  Any athletes running this relay must be throwers.  Teams must have 2 girl throwers and 2 boy throwers.  We will have a special prize for the winning team.

Unified 100m & 200m race: We will have a Unified 100m and 200m race. All participants will receive medals. Please enter athletes in milesplit if possible or email Coach Havard with their names and grade by the entry cutoff. 

Rules and Regulations:  The rules governing the meet are those of the Colorado High School Activities Association and the National Federation rules.

Infield/Competition and Team Camp Area Expectations:

All athletes should enter the competition area through the designated entry gate for athletes. Competitors should report to the clerk at the staging area on the first call. Coaches, managers, and non-competitors will be expected to remain in the stands or outside the infield during competition. The warm up area will be given at the coaches meeting. A coaching box will be provided for the pole vault and high jump. Coaches will be allowed to video at the field events from the coaching box.  Athletes should not jump over fences to enter the track area.  Athletes caught jumping over the fence will be disqualified.



Team Camps

Team camps will be located in the practice football field just South west of the track

Berthoud High school will be in session so under no circumstance should any athletes enter the school. Unless directed to during an emergency. The restroom is not an emergency.  

Parking

Buses:

  • Buses staying for the whole day must park along 10th Street.

  • Buses are not allowed to park in the school's bus lanes.

Spectators, Athletes & Coaches:

  • Please park in the student parking lots or along neighborhood streets where legal parking is allowed.

  • Do not park in the teacher parking lot during school hours.

  • Additional parking will become available after school dismisses around 4:00 PM.

TSD is not liable for any parking issues.
