Meet Information
The 2026 Randy Yaussi PSD Meet will be hosted by Timnath high school at PSD Stadium on the campus of Timnath MS / HS. The City Meet will take place on Wednesday, April 8th with field events beginning at 2:00 PM and running events at 3:00 PM. Each team within the Poudre School District can enter the competition. Teams will be allowed to enter 6 athletes into the track events, 4 athletes into the field events, and 2 relays.
Randy Yaussi dedicated much of his career to Poudre High School, where he served as Head Track and Field Coach for 27 years and Head Cross Country Coach for 25 years. In addition to his coaching roles, he taught business and marketing classes for 17 years and later spent 13 years as an assistant principal before stepping down in 2003. After his time and dedication at Poudre High School, Yaussi continued his leadership in education as principal of Highland High School in Ault.
Throughout his career, he earned numerous honors, including the Sonny Lubick Coach of Character Award and induction into the Colorado High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Known for his hands-on approach, Yaussi ran every workout alongside his athletes and coached multiple state champions. In recognition of his lasting impact, a track and field meet, the Randy Yaussi PSD Track Championships has been named in his honor.
