2016 St. Vrain Invitational: Mountain Vista, Monarch, & Palmer Ridge in a Dead Heat

TOP MOMENTS OF THE MEET (3)

Jenna (Fitzsimmons), Maddie (Reed), and Sarah (O'Sullivan) form a solid wall of green near the front.

An apparently short-handed Mountain Vista team turns back Rio Rancho's title bid.

I'm pretty sure we still haven't seen the final Mountain Vista girls roster. Yes, Jenna Fitzsimmons and Sarah O'Sullivan were running at the front again, but where were Caroline Eck, Mauren Fitzsimmons, and Allie Chipman?

I don't know how purposeful Coach Dalby's game of early season hide-and-seek is, but it definitely has a few folks wondering?

In any case, J. Fitzsimmons, O'Sullivan, Madison Reed, Julia Chambers, and Lauren Soares where up to whatever challenges Rio Rancho cared to send their way. While Rio Rancho maintained a strong presence toward the front, it was green--not blue--that was the dominant color farthest to the front.

It developed as a typical Vista Nation effort--a matter of being patient early and rolling people up late. Passes were plentiful on the third circuit of the St. Vrain course and few were those who were still trading strides with the girls in green.
