Remember last year? Remember Pomona stunning everyone with a state meet performance for the ages? Pomona will have a tougher-than-expected time repeating this year with Max Borghi out for the spring from a knee injury in football and Jake Moretti already having moved on to collegiate football. All that, and graduation, too. But, read the entire article before you start feeling too badly for the Panthers.
But, 5A boys still looks, as it always does, to be very competitive this spring. I'll try to cover the most important points in this article.
Following the established pattern, the next page will be a top-18 ranking of returning athletes for each event. As in the case of Borghi and Moretti, we'll have to allow that sometimes these athletes won't be back in track and field uniforms this spring, but most will.
