Avery Paxton of Cherry Creek increased her PR clearance to 11-9.5 in securing victory over Choying Obrien's new PR of 10-10. In all, five girls cleared at least 10-4 in the competition.
Fifty-footers are nothing to scoff at in the shot put. Two of them tussled today, with CT's Ruben Estrada getting the better of Grandview's Robert Moss on this occasion. Estrada put the shot out to a new personal best of 52-0.
Cherokee Trail's Sean Roberts easily won the triple jump with a leap of 43-4.
