Where to start?

Literally. Where do we start to recap the insane, fully-loaded 5A state meet?

There was Max Manson taking down his father's 32 year-old state meet record in the pole vault.

There was Arria Minor taking down two state records - the 200 and the 400 - in the preliminary heats. Additionally, her 400 was the fastest time run in the country.

There was Emily Sloan taking down a three-minute old 300 hurdle state record - in the preliminary heats.

There was the Denver East quartet taking down the state record in the Sprint Medley Relay, and they equaled the the state record in the 4x1.

Records aside, then there was Michael Mooney with two big kicks to win two state titles.

There was Gabriella McDonald with two dominating wins in the throws.

There was the Jalen Lyon and the Fountain Ft. Carson sprint squad that terrorized the relays.

There was Jenna Fitzsimmons taking the Triple Crown by winning the 1,600 and the 3,200 (in addition to her cross country title).

There was the impressive front-running Landon Rast in the 800.

And then there were the upset victories...

There was Lily Williams taking down The Arria Minor in the 400.

There was Mitchell Gorman in the 300 hurdles.

There was Allam Bushara in the triple jump.
