You all are aware that classification rankings don't update immediately on Colorado Track XC. And I am acutely aware that tonight is the most important rankings night there is.
I'm not sure how robust the server is at MaxPreps. In case you need access to rankings and MaxPreps is slow, I am working up a kluge to show updated rankings within each classification tonight. It will not be through the usual rankings utility, which updates too slowly for tonight's needs, but it will have the advantage of lumping ranked athletes from one team all together.
As results come in tonight, I will create front-page articles titled like "4A Boys Rankings." If you click on that article, you will get what amounts to, essentially, a large virtual meet on the entire classification scored to 20 places deep. A '20' following someone's name means that he/she is ranked #1 in that event in the classification, '19' means #20, and so on down to a '1' meaning he/she is ranked #20.
It will not be perfect, but it will be a lot better than nothing. In all, ten such articles will be posted, one for each classification and gender. I'll be up late tonight updating those as results come in.
I think you'll like the idea of being able to see where everyone on a team is ranked in their various events without clicking back and forth between events.
