GRAND JUNCTION — Let’s hear it for the girls! The Tiger Invitational’s top performances belonged primarily to the ladies this weekend. There were some exciting finishes from the guys, but when it came to elite performances, those belonged to the girls. 
 
Anywhere Rifle’s Joey Kuheim shows up, the lady throwers are going to be well represented. Kuheim was disappointed she did not improve on her season bests in either throw, she continued her domination in Western Slope meets with a toss of 42-11 in the shot put and 131-8 in discus. 
 
The Slope’s reputation as one that produces stellar throwers looks to be well intact this year. Palisade’s Savannah Hanson joined Kuheim in the discus launching discussion with a throw of 120-7. Kuheim’s teammate Brittany Neuroth also had a strong launch of 120-5. In the shot put...
