It was nothing if not a weekend of big invitationals. And, as usually happens on weekends of big invitationals, a lot a qualifying times get bumped off the board if favor of newer and better ones.

For many athletes, this was the last big weekend of competition before state. There may be a token event or two at this meet's league meet, but this week is--for these athletes--mostly a week of resting and healing up in advance of state. 

For other athletes, however, the week ahead will be just as demanding, if not more so, that the week just passed. For these athletes the week ahead is the last remaining opportunity to post the qualifying mark that gets them to state.

 

1A Invitational Track Meet

Limon High School doesn't host this meet, but Limon does. It is the big draw of the invitational season for 1A schools.
