Coming Your Way on Colorado Track XC, This Week!

Adam Marcus of Brush, shown here winning last year's middle school race at the Wiggins Invitational, makes his high school debut Saturday at the St. Vrain Invitational. Colorado Track XC file photo.

We promised more coverage in 2013, and it's coming your way!

The week ahead gets off to a slow start meet-wise with no Tuesday meets on the calendar. But things start picking up on Thursday with the Joe Davis and St. Mary's Academy Invitationals. Friday continues with the Widefield, Grand Junction Central, Horizon, and Cherry Creek Invitationals. Then bedlam breaks loose on Saturday with invitationals hosted by Battle Mountain, Centaurus, Basalt, Lake County, Adams State/Alamosa, and, of course, the biggest one of them all--the St. Vrain Invitational.

Colorado Track XC will be on hand at several of these meets. Currently, coverage is lined up for Joe Davis, Grand Junction Central and St. Vrain, with a photographer or two at other meets as well. All in all, it means more coverage, more photos, and just more to love about cross country.

Later in the week, we'll be previewing several of these meets so you can go there as a more educated spectator.

We do not have any dedicated coverage lined up for the college meets across the state this weekend (Adams State, UCCS, and Colorado State University), but we will make every effort to get those results and have them posted for you on the site.

Middle school meets? They're everywhere this week! If you can get electronic results (not scanned documents or photos of printed results) to me at the e-mail address in the lower left corner of this page, I'll see to it that they go live on the site as well. More and more, this site is becoming one that archives results from 6th grade through the senior year of college.

And, about those Colorado teams traveling out of state this weekend... The UNM Lobo Invite is covered. Results should be coming from the Loyd's Lake Classic in Utah as well. If there are other out-of-state meets on your schedules, please let me know about them.

Have a great week of cross country!
