Week three of the cross country season will probably not be one easily forgotten.  Leading into the week it seemed to be one full of promise, excitement and expectation.  No one could have predicted the events that transpired, leaving many with the feelings of profound loss, exasperation, and disappointment.  Yet the season continues on and week four was quick off the line with the Denver North Viking XC Invitational.
 
In only its second year, the Viking Invite is rapidly growing, attracting the gamut of 2A to 5A teams to the Willis Case Golf Course.  Though newer as a high school venue, the golf course has seen its share of cross country races, having hosted NCAA events in the past.  With an expansive setting, the 5k course consists of two large loops, giving the participants two opportunities at...
