With this being only the fourth year of a classification that started with a brand-new set of records, there are still several records that haven't quite yet reached a state of maturity. As such, we can expect, once again, to see a lot of the 1A girls records to be rewritten this spring. Let's take a closer look at what's on the board:
100 Meter Dash - Ashley Atkin, Fleming, 12.78 - Barring the arrival of a freshman phenom or some highly talented individual who just discovered track and field, Taylor Alexander is the only one with a realistic chance of taking down the standard.
200 Meter Dash - Ashley Atkin, Fleming, 26.62 - As times go, Atkin's 100 meter mark is probably a little better than her 200 meter mark. Once again, it appears to be Taylor Alexander who will be giving chase.
