It's difficult to say what was producing more heat in the Cadet Field House on Sunday--an overachieving heating system or the athletes on the track. In any case, it felt like summer down on the competition level of the indoor track facility. The ice at the hockey arena next door probably wasn't doing so well.
Almost before anyone could get their bearings, Megan McCabe and Mariah Walker had set new standards for the indoor season. McCabe's 11-5.75 in the pole vault just gets her back closer to where she was last spring, but Walker's 46-2.5 extends last week's PR throw by another three inches.
