If you haven't checked out the latest version of the rankings this morning, you might want to. The six teams that showed up at the Stutler Bowl yesterday for the Centennial League Spring Break Qualifier took the "Qualifier" part of the meet name to heart.

And it didn't take very long for the big marks to start falling like rain. Eaglecrest posted the season's top SMR8 time on the meets first event. When Tashay Brown handed to Alicia Taurchini, it was a tight battle with Grandview for the lead. And, for the better part of the final lap, Grandview held that lead, but there was nothing close about it at the finish. Taurchini would build a two-second lead over the final 180 or so meters. As a consolation prize, however, Grandview now owns the #2 time in the state.
