Any day is a good day for a track meet at Jeffco Stadium. This is one of the many reasons that this stadium plays host to the state championship meet in a little bit over a month. It was the Pomona Panthers overseeing the action on the track today at their home invitational.
 
This season is only the third inception of the Pomona Invitational and yet it has grown to host over 25 highly competitive teams from all classifications. Coaches looking to give their teams state like experience, and the fact that this is a two-day prelim and final meet may hold some of the keys to why this meet has exploded in popularity.
