It wasn't that long ago that we last looked at 1A boys, but a couple of things have changed a little in the interim.
1A Boys virtual meet
The piercing grip of the Eagles' talons has gone a little deeper since our last visit. Jeff Stellingwerf and Danny Weaver are both looking like points in the throws. Relays are solid across the board, although Coach Joe Packard will likely have to make some choices about which of those to foist on the state meet. Kale Morgan and Isaiah D'Amico give HCA the best hurdle tandem available in 1A. There is no reprieve in distance events where Jason Richard, Luke Gilliland, and Daniel Palmer stand tall. Except for Jeff Stellingwerf, HCA doesn't project to score in the sprints, but that's not all bad news. That means Packard doesn't have to mix and match relays a lot of allow for individual sprint events. This will be a very tough team to beat, even after a year where they had to almost completely reload.
