Golden West, the last major track meet of the summer indepenedent of ties to USATF or AAU, will host three Colorado athletes on Saturday.

Try to make their mark in Sacramento--where the USA Outdoor Championships are going on as well--will be Dominice Carrese, Josie Natrasevschi, and Lexi Reed.

Carrese will be the only one of the trio aiming at a single event. Carrese has a lifetime PR of 4:28.86 in the 1600 (a 4:30-ish mile) that he will be looking to improve in the thicker air of California. The Golden West will be running a full mile.

Josie Natrasevschi continues to hone her throws. After a toss of 157-10 last weekend in the discus, she will be back hurling the discus in Sacramento. And, Natrasevschi doesn't seem to be missing many opportunities to spin the hammer this summer either.

And, finally, Lexi Reed will be doubling up on the 800 and 3200 in California. PR times for Reed in those two events are 2:16.48 and 11:10.00. The altitude should be favorable toward improving on both marks, but with distance events the bigger question always centers around how the training has been going.

Check back on Saturday for results for all three of Colorado's representatives at Golden West!
