If you aren't learning something new every day, you're probably wasting your time.
When Saturday's Lyons River Run 5K results came my way, I asked a question I've asked of myself many times, "I wonder how I could add these race times to athlete profiles?"
A little bit of tinkering later, I found the way. So, as of this morning, we're now in the business of posting (at least some) road race results to athlete profiles.
I don't want to pretend that I'll ever be posting all road race results to athlete profiles, but I did try to identify all current high schoolers (there are a small handful for whom I couldn't find matches) in the Lyons River Run 5K results and post those to athlete pages. I was also able to identify numerous high school alumni and middle schooler and post results to their pages as well. If I missed getting results posted to your page, please let me know and I'll go back in under the hood and get those added as well. I won't create new athlete pages that don't already exist, but I will try, going forward, to post road race results that I receive to existing athlete pages.
I hope you enjoy the addition. Next up for posting will be the Northside Stride 5K. Those results also came in on Saturday with several current and former Colorado high school athletes.
