Coronado’s Cougar Classic must have been at capacity last year, as the popular race through the north end of Monument Valley Park added a Division 2 race this year for the smaller schools.
The most loaded race of the day was undeniably Division I Boys, considering entries from Mountain Vista, Cherokee, Durango, and, of course, the host team Coronado. On the individual level Michael Duran, Phillip Reid, Maximilliano Martinez, and Adam Egger assured the race up front would be a crowded affair.
For all the potential storylines in this race, however, the results looked remarkably similar to 2013. That is to say the afternoon belonged to Mountain Vista.
