Tell us about how the decision came down to Wyoming. You had other opportunities, but what made Wyoming stand out among those?

I visited a lot of different colleges the past two years, which gave me a good perspective on what I wanted most in a school. The first time I visited the University of Wyoming, I fell in love with the school environment. I felt really comfortable, and it was easy to picture myself going there. Plus, there was a cute guy on my tour, haha :).

Have you decided yet on what you'll be studying at Wyoming?

I would like to study either secondary education or journalism.

Are there any post-season cross country races still on your schedule, or is the racing over for a while?

I am running at the Nike Cross Southwest Regionals race on November 22nd.

You saw a lot of success early as a high school athlete and continued to see more of that right through your senior year. From all of that can you pick a favorite moment, to date, out of your high school career?

The most proud moment of my career was placing in the 1600 at state track last year and running a PR. I gave everything I had and performed better than I thought I would. I think it is important to keep improving, and that race gave me more confidence to believe in myself.

Of all the events you've been able to run which event is your favorite?

The 1600 is my favorite race. It feels short compared to cross country races and I like the pacing of it.

You've had a very nice progression of 1600 times through high school. Do you have a target time in mind for the 1600 for this spring?

This spring I am going to focus on the 1600 and 800. My goal is to break five minutes in the 1600.
