Pretty clearly, there have been some young men and women champing at the bit to get this season going. If this is any indication of what's to come, it's a wild next six months coming.
We'll start with the boys where Aaron Ragin stole the show and the meet title with a 35.03, edging out Metro State's sprint ace Jonathan Clarke down the finish straight. Duane McClurklin was just a tiny bit back at 35.30.
Fountain-Fort Carson teammates Benjamin Thomas and Dylan Day earned some nice places with a fifth in the 500 and a fourth in the 1000, respectively. Benjamin Thomas surprised a couple of too-late-too-suspect-anything-wrong cadets to win his heat of the 500. Miles Hatton picked up a second in a mile that had no collegiate entries. And Luc Hagen ran 10:01 to grab a third in the 3000.
