The traditionally strong teams in this league make up most of the league. While the Douglas County schools have had the better of the region to which both those schools and the CSML 5A school belong, there were hints of some changes in balance of power in this year's 5A Region 5 meet.
Rampart comes into next fall's season riding a substantial crest of momentum from the end of this season and should easily figure as the preseason favorite. The Rams are a program on the rise. Coronado is consistently good, but needs to rebuild their traditional depth next season. Liberty, Palmer, Pine Creek, and Doherty each have solid reasons to be hopeful.
It should be a solidly competitive league next fall.
